Anything you cannot reach safely, leave for a documented inspection.

The tells are consistent: no local address or NC license, pressure to sign today, a demand for a big payment up front, and an offer to waive or pay your deductible, which is illegal in North Carolina. Slow down. A trustworthy roofer is local, licensed, insured, never pressures you, and is honest that the deductible is yours. Vet before you sign.
